– 11 nights – Best of Kenya – wildlife
safari Samburu/Aberdare/Sweetwaters/Lake Nakuru/Maasai Mara /Nairobi/Amboseli/Tsavo

Day 1 – Arrival & Welcome.
Arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta internationl Airport where you are received
by our client service representative who will guide you to our Vans
or Buses for a transfer to the hotel for Dinner /briefing session
and the nights accommodation.
Day 2 – Samburu National Park & Buffalo Springs.
After breakfast you leave Nairobi and drive on through Kikuyu farmlands.
You pass through various towns on the way including Thika, Nanyuki,
Naromoru at the snow capped Mt. Kenya on the way before branching
to this famous 165 sq Km wildlife Sanctuary. You will check into
the Samburu lodge /Samburu Serena lodge for lunch and brief relaxatiion
before you go for an afternoon game drive. Dinner/entertainment
by Samburu dancers and overnight accommodation accommodation at
the lodge.
Day 3 – Game Drives.
Today you enjoy two extensive game drives in the morning and afternoon
in this semi arid, open savannah plains. The parks main attractions
include the gerenuks, crocodiles, ostrich, buffalo. Giraffes.
The park also supports a wide variety at birdlike such as Somali
Ostriches and numerous birds. The buffalo Springs National Reserve
located south of Sandbur across the EwasoNyiro River is a stretch
of grassy lowland plains and wonderfully clear buffalo springs.
Dinner/entertainment by Samburu dancers and the nights accommodation
at the lodge.
Day 4 – Sweetwaters game Reserve and Chimpanzee Sanctuary.
After breakfast you check out of arriving in time for lunch before
going for embarking on an afternoon game drive. Sweetwater is in
the slopes at Mt. Kenya and overlooks a flood lit waterhole offering
visitors an unforgettable opportunity to view and shoot pictures
of animals in their natural habitat. .
OPTIONS (escorted walking safaris, bird walks, camel safaris) other
animals in the reserve include elephants, buffalo, baboon, Jackals,
Ostrich, Rhino etc.
Dinner and overnight accommodation at sweetwaters tented camp.
Day 5 – Aberdares
Early morning game drive at Sweet waters before breakfast and the
departure – views at Mt. Kenya on the way among other beautiful
sceneries. You will reach Outspan in time for lunch and a Kikuyu
cultural tour. In the afternoon leave Outspan for the ten mile drive
to Treetops and are met by an armed ranger who spells out the common
sense rules of behaviour in a friendly fashion. The lodge rises
straight out of the ground on stilts. It has various decks and a
rooftop view platform. Solely dedicated to game viewing, the accommodation
is compact and cosy.
Animals to see include elephants, Rhino, Leopard and bushbucks.
The elusive Bongo and the giant forest Hog. Dinner and overnight
accommodation at the treetops lodge.
Day 6 – Lake Nakuru National Park
Breakfast at Outspan golf and Country club and then proceed to Lake
Nakuru as you explore the dramatic rift valley. Brief stopover at
Nyahururu for tea and a view of the Thompson falls. You will reach
Nakuru in time for lunch at a lodge in the National Park before
you proceed for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is one of the
most popular Parks in the rift valley and is often reffered as the
pink lake for its great masses of pink Flamingos. You have the opportunity
to see millions of them together besides thousands of other birds.
Other animals in the park include Rhino, Lion, Waterbucks, buffalo,
and warthog, Hippos. Gazelles etc.
Day 7 – Maasai Mara game reserve
After an early morning game drive you go back to the lodge for breakfast
and check out to start your journey to the world famous Maasai Mara.
You view more game as you exit the park. Other views on the way
include rivers, forests, escarpments and other beautiful sceneries
before crossing the vast loita plains before you enter Kenya’s
most scenic Maasai Mara. You check into the lodge in time for lunch
before enjoying an afternoon game drive in the park with the highest
population of animals.
Dinner/entertainment and overnight accommodation at Mara Sopa lodge
or similar.
Day 8 – Game Drives (Ballooning option available)
Today you will enjoy two extensive game drives in the morning and
afternoon in this extensive park. Lunch and relaxation in the lodge
in between the game drives. Swimming, playing cards etc.
Animals are in plenty and our driver guides will spot them easily.
Lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, Gazelles, Zebra, Giraffes
and even the elusive Rhino night just come out at the thicket for
you. If your safari falls between July-September lookout for the
annual animal migration when millions of wildebeests cross over
from the Serengeti into the Mara in search of green pastures This
is a spectacle to behold and should be witnessed at least once in
a lifetime.
Day 9 – NAIROBI
After one more game drive in the morning you take breakfast and
check out to start journey back to Nairobi. You see more game as
you exit the park. You may briefly (optional) visit a Maasai village
to buy curios, see Maasai Manyattas, take photos and even enjoy
a traditional dance. You will reach Nairobi in time for lunch. The
afternoon may be spent relaxing in the hotel, shopping or a brief
city tour before going for dinner /entertainment. Overnight accommodation
at the hotel.
Day 10 – Amboseli
After Breakfast you drive on tarmac through the Athi and Kaputei
plains on Namanga road. You branch off at the border town at Namanga
to an all weather road leading you to the Amboseli National park
which is one of the most popular tourist destination in Kenya. You
will check in to Oltukai or Amboseli Serena Lodge for lunch and
brief relaxation before embarking on an afternoon game drive. Amboseli
is considered a favourite spot for writers such ad Earnest Hemingway.
It’s in comparable beauty and ample wildlife makes it a definite
visit for all tourists; the diversity of Amboseli’s ecosystem
has created the perfect environment for hundreds of birds species
and large game. Its major attractions include the big five Lion,
Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo. The Park rests at the foot
of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro; writers’
have described the lodge and the surrounding Amboseli with its breath
taking scenery and unique wildlife as a home for the Gods. Cynthia
Moss the internationally renown authority on Elephant behavior and
ecology describes the Amboseli as “still a haven for elephants,
probably the only place like it in the world’’.
Dinner /entertainment and overnight accommodation at the lodge.
Day 11 – Tsavo National Park
Today after Breakfast you conduct an extensive game drive in this
photogenic park (cameras ready) as you enjoy spectacular views of
the snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro. You will then proceed further left
on an all weather road and enter Tsavo West National Park. You will
check in Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge for lunch located in this
expansive park covering 21,000 sq Kilometers in the afternoon you
conduct one game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner/entertainment
and overnight accommodation.
Day 12 – Game drives
You will enjoy two extensive game drives in the morning and afternoon.
Lunch and relaxation at the lodge in between the game drives. This
park boasts a huge population of elephants and it is the largest
National Park in Kenya and largest in the world. It was actually
split into two because it was too large an area for tourists to
cover. The park also boasts of volcanic hills, rivers and more than
60 major mammals species as well as well as over 1000 plant species.
Dinner /entertainment overnight accommodation at the lodge.
Day 13 – Nairobi /departure
After one more game drive you will go back to the lodge for breakfast
and check out. Game viewing enroute as you leave the park and head
back to Nairobi in time for lunch. The afternoon may be spent shopping
relaxing in the hotel with a brief city tour before going to the
world famous Carnivore Restaurant for Dinner. You will be transferred
to the airport to pick your flight back home.
